Full course description
Over the last 30 years, the Baltic Region has undergone a broad transition, resulting in many changes to the political, economic, social and environmental landscape. This course profiles a wide range of these issues with numerous examples.
The existing book- The Baltic Sea Region: Cultures, Politics, Societies (Ed, Maciejewski, W. 2002, Baltic University Press), described the Baltic Sea region, its common history, culture, social, economic and political development. Due to the changes the Baltic Sea Region has undergone throughout the last twenty years, there is much value in highlighting its recent tendencies, developments and events.
The aim of this course therefore, is to provide an overview of the issues that have been subject to change over the course of recent years.
This course accompanies the project Digital at Home: new steps in the internationalization of education which has been made possible thanks to financing from the Swedish Institute and coordinated by the Baltic University Programme.
